Build a Dream is a grass-roots non-profit dedicated to empowering and educating young women about careers in skilled trades, STEM, emergency response and entrepreneurship.
As a teacher, you’re supporting and empowering young women in your classes to think about careers they may have never heard of. Young women in high school should be making informed choices about their future and have the knowledge about all career opportunities.
Here are the opportunities for your students to participate in Build a Dream:
Build a Dream Event
Every year Build a Dream hosts an event for young women in high school and their parents. They will hear from successful women, meet local employers and take part in some exciting interactive activities.
Check out our next events in Windsor and London!
During March break and the summer break, Build a Dream offers unique opportunities for young women in high school to try hands-on, different jobs that they may have never heard of before. Your daughter(s) get to work in different environments, try new things, meet employers and other like-minded peers and have fun.
Your students will have the opportunity to talk to women who work in the field or are enrolled in post-secondary education in skilled trades, STEM, emergency response and entrepreneurship. Our mentors are able to talk about their story, experiences and a number of opportunities.
