Nour Hachem
Nour Hachem is a passionate advocate for gender equity and the President and Founder of Build a Dream, a national nonprofit dedicated to dismantling barriers and creating new pathways for women and underrepresented groups in the workforce.
For more than 20 years, Nour has been a relentless voice for change, advocating for inclusive education and employment systems, mobilizing industry to reimagine hiring practices, and influencing public policy to address systemic inequities. Her advocacy is rooted in lived experience, inspired by her mother’s resilience in a male-dominated trade, and fueled by a commitment to justice and economic empowerment.
Through Build a Dream, she has led national efforts to challenge outdated perceptions of who belongs in skilled trades, STEAM, emergency response, and entrepreneurship. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to over 20 employees, hosted hundreds of career discovery events, and helped connect thousands of individuals with new career possibilities. Nour has secured over $15 million in government funding for Build a Dream and over $30 million throughout her career for initiatives that serve equity-deserving populations.
Beyond programs and partnerships, Nour is a bold public voice, frequently featured in CBC, Global News, and CTV, who uses every platform to push for systemic change. Her advocacy extends to schools, workplaces, Parliament Hill, and Queen’s Park, where she works with elected officials to advance policies that support women, youth, and newcomers in the workforce.
A skilled connector and compelling speaker, Nour empowers organizations to build inclusive workplaces. She has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by WXN in 2022 and 2024. Nour was also recently named one of Construction’s Most Influential People for 2025 by SiteNews, a distinction recognizing leaders transforming the construction industry through innovation, policy, advocacy, and business leadership.
As a woman of colour, entrepreneur, mother, and changemaker, Nour brings a personal and political lens to every conversation. She holds a BA in Sociology and an MBA from the University of Windsor.
Delaney Krieger
Delaney Krieger is a Red Seal–endorsed Interior Systems Mechanic whose career has been forged on job sites across Canada, where she gained deep, firsthand insight into the realities of the skilled trades. Building on this technical foundation, Delaney has emerged as a powerful leader and change-maker dedicated to dismantling systemic, cultural, and environmental barriers within the workforce—particularly those affecting women and other equity-priority groups.
Working at both provincial and national levels, Delaney’s impact spans program design and facilitation, committee and advisory leadership, public speaking, and mentorship. Her work is focused on creating accessible, inclusive, and sustainable workplace cultures that strengthen recruitment, retention, and advancement of skilled talent across industries.
Grounded in lived experience and driven by purpose, Delaney’s leadership at Build a Dream is defined by a commitment to equity, access, and lasting systems-level change. By addressing the challenges she has personally navigated—and those that continue to affect the diverse communities the organization serves—she has helped deliver measurable, meaningful impact across the workforce ecosystem. In recognition of her influence and leadership, Delaney was named a 2025 recipient of WXN’s Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award. She continues to build on this momentum, championing inclusive workforce cultures where opportunity, belonging, and leadership are not the exception, but the standard.


Stacey Noronha
Stacey brings a wealth of experience in public affairs and advocacy, honed over a decade in the Federal Public Service.
Notable accomplishments include national campaigns to advance Canada’s first Feminist International Assistance Policy and a digital recruitment campaign that targeted women within the energy sector’s workforce. Stacey has been the recipient of a Government of Canada Award for her role in facilitating the recruitment and retention of a representative public service.
Her passion for empowering marginalized groups is driven by her experiences as a woman, a member of a racialized community, and an immigrant. As Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Dress for Success Ottawa, she works to create spaces that embrace diversity and equity. From her role at the Senate of Canada to her involvement with federal party politics and Equal Voice, she is also committed to facilitating women’s access to the political sphere.
Stacey believes that together, we can build a better, more equitable Canada.
Alisha Lesperance
Alisha has a wide range of experience in non-profit work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. She is a passionate advocate for gender equality and equality in education. As a proud mom of two kids, three cats, one dog and one bearded dragon, and a small business owner, her life is never boring. In her non-existent spare time she enjoys gaming, reading and sleeping.


McKenna Goodwin
McKenna is a Red Seal Endorsed General Carpenter with 6 years of experience working in the construction industry. She strives to improve the recruitment, retention and experiences of women and equity-deserving groups in the skilled trades. McKenna started her apprenticeship at 16 years old through the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program and received her Red Seal Endorsement at age 21.
McKenna’s work with CSA Group on the groundbreaking Z301 Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility in Apprenticeship Programs standard has greatly shaped her career goals. She started as a technical committee member contributing content and feedback for the standard development and was then elected as vice-chair of the committee. This allowed her to take on a larger role in the standard and content development process.
In her free time, you’ll probably find her sipping a chai latte, watching a Hallmark movie or listening to Taylor Swift. McKenna loves to connect with fellow tradeswomen and participates and volunteers with a variety of organizations that help foster this community.
Pinky Sabhnani
Pinky is a dedicated Project Manager with a passion for bringing ideas to life. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology Honors with thesis, as well as minors in Business Administration, she thrives on understanding human behaviour and optimizing processes.
When she is not immersed in project timelines, you’ll find her engrossed in the world of books or exploring new coffee shops. She runs a TikTok account where she delves into the captivating universe of books, sharing her thoughts, and humour.


Jeanette Zemlja
Jeanette is a seasoned relationship builder with over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector. Her expertise spans employment, program management, and community development, where she excels in leading teams, driving innovative partnerships, and collaborating with key stakeholders—including major employers, labor unions, and government agencies. With a strategic mindset, she navigates change, champions continuous improvement, and ensures meaningful, lasting impact in every initiative she undertakes.
Katherine Morlog
Katherine Morlog brings a wealth of expertise in education and curriculum innovation to Build a Dream as our Education and Training Lead. With a Bachelor of Arts (BAH), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), and Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Queen’s University, she is a specialist in curriculum development, program strategy, and experiential learning.
As the Founder and Principal of Creekford Academy, Katherine established an inquiry-based, student-centred educational approach that nurtures holistic development and encourages active learning. Her leadership in both traditional and alternative educational settings allows her to create dynamic, impactful programs that resonate with diverse audiences.


Jennifer Aguilera
Jennifer is a construction professional with over 8 years of experience specializing in interior and exterior painting, stair staining, and residential renovations. Her career has included leading crews on-site, interpreting blueprints, managing materials, and delivering hi-end finishes that meet the highest standards.
Carrie O’Donnell
Carrie is a Red Seal Endorsed Plumber with 10 years of experience working in Automotive Manufacturing Maintenance. A self-described late bloomer, Carrie began her apprenticeship at the age of 44 after spending 21 years on the automotive assembly production line. Her career journey reflects resilience, determination, and a willingness to step into the unknown later in life.
Throughout her apprenticeship and career, Carrie developed a unique scope of experience maintaining complex piping systems for water, paint, solvent, and compressed air within the Paint Shop at the Windsor Assembly Plant, work that falls outside the typical scope of residential or commercial plumbing. During this time, Carrie was one of only nine skilled tradeswomen in a workforce of nearly 500 tradesmen, further shaping her passion for representation and inclusion in the trades.
Carrie’s connection to Build a Dream began early in her apprenticeship when she attended a Build a Dream Career Expo with her daughter, who was in Grade 9 at the time. The following year, Carrie returned as a question-and-answer panelist, sharing her story and encouraging young women to explore careers in the skilled trades. Since then, she has remained a strong supporter of Build a Dream’s mission and purpose. Carrie loves to connect with fellow tradeswomen by volunteering with a variety of organizations that help foster mentorship to support success and career growth in Skilled Trades careers.
After more than 30 years at the Windsor Assembly Plant, Carrie recently retired and is excited to begin this next chapter by joining the Build a Dream Team as a Career Support Specialist, where she looks forward to supporting others as they navigate their own career journeys in the trades. As a mother of 6 grown children, Carrie feels a deep commitment to a future where careers are no longer categorize by gender.



Brian Chauvin
Brian’s background in crafting compelling narratives and multimedia content has equipped him with the flexibility and reliability in adapting to project needs while maintaining high standards .He thrives on the creative process, and believes that storytelling is a powerful tool for fostering growth and pushing boundaries. With a Degree in Animation and a decade of experience as a Visual Creator, Brian brings a detailed approach to content strategy and management, ensuring that the messaging remains consistent and resonates with our community values.
