The Yellow Chair Awards
Launched by Build a Dream, the Yellow Chair Campaign (#TakeYourSpace) recognizes that visibility, voice, and leadership require courage from women to step forward, claim space, and pursue their dreams without apology. For employers and leaders, it is a commitment to intentionally create space, through policies, practices, sponsorship, and systems that enable women to enter, stay, and advance.
The Power & Purpose Summit will serve as the official launch of the Yellow Chair Awards, a national recognition program celebrating leadership that moves beyond commitment to measurable action in advancing women’s participation across Canada’s workforce. Presented during the Summit’s closing program, the Awards honour those who are actively reshaping workplaces and workforce systems so women can thrive.
Award Nominations:
The Titan (Employer Award): Recognizes an employer that demonstrates leadership in building inclusive workplaces and investing in their people.
The Luminary (Female Award): Recognizes a trailblazing woman who inspires others through her impact, resilience, and commitment to diversifying the workforce.
The Catalyst (Industry Award): Recognizes an individual who uses their influence and initiative to challenge the status quo, champion equity, and accelerate the advancement of women in industry.
