As a teacher, you are inspiring, supporting, and empowering the next generation of young women. High school students should be making informed choices about their future and have the knowledge about all career opportunities so Build a Dream works with education to get students thinking about careers they may not have heard of or ever considered.
Career Expos – Build a Dream works with local school board to recruit students (and their parents) for our FREE annual expos. Panelists, employer networking, hands-on learning, and keynote speakers deliver our message in a variety of ways.
Hands-on Camps – During March Break and summer break, Build a Dream offers unique opportunities for young women to try different jobs that they may have considered before. Students get to work in different environments, try new things, meet employers, work with like-minded peers and have fun.
Mentors – Students can use Build a Dream’s database of mentors to learn about women who work in a variety of fields, or are enrolled in post-secondary education in skilled trades, STEM, emergency response and entrepreneurship.
