Register Today for #HerPower Skills Workshop

#HerPower Skills

Dates: TBD
Time: TBD
Location: 6465 Hawthorne Ave, Windsor ON

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop has been postponed due to Provincial Covid-19 regulations.

#HerPower Skills is a program where you will learn new skills and discover different career opportunities!

Young women in high school are invited to join us for a 10-week program where you will learn from skilled tradespeople and get hands-on experience with Milwaukee tools!

This series will also include information sessions each week to help you learn more about exploring a career in the skilled trades.

Learn from Skilled Mentors!

You will be learning from the professionals! Our Skilled Mentors will guide you through the process of building a wooden toolbox as well as teach you to use tools and answer questions about a career in the skilled trades.

PLEASE NOTE: All participants and skilled mentors must provide proof of mRNA vaccination to participate.

Interested in participating as a student?

*Please note our current workshop is full. By applying, you will be added to a waitlist for future workshops.

Do I need to have previous skills?

No previous skill required! This workshop is to learn how to use tools so that you can feel confident fixing furniture or building something from scratch. We designed it for anyone and everyone – regardless of skill level.

How do I become a skilled mentor/participant?

We’re so excited that you want to join us! If you would like to register as a participant, click here. To sign up as a skilled mentor, click here.

Do I get to keep the furniture I fix?

Absolutely! We want you to finish this workshop with a piece of furniture that you love and can use in your home.

How old do I need to be to register?

#HerPower Skills is open to all young women in high school, ages 13 – 17.
