Hands-on learning for careers in emergency response

Donna Desantis grew up working in construction with her dad, but firefighting was always her dream. Now a firefighter in Windsor-Essex, Desantis wants to help other women get into this career.

On Saturday, June 29, mentors like Desantis will be on hand for the FREE event, Women on Fire, where females 18 and older can gain valuable insight into the physical requirements for careers with the police, fire, EMS, military, and the Canadian Border Services. Get your questions answered, use professional tools and equipment, and try the physical test required to gain entry to these fields.

You can do anything you set your mind to; if you have the passion and desire to do something, you can make it happen!

For more information visit WomenOnFire on Facebook or register for the event here.
