Who We Are
On May 17-21, 2021, we’ll dedicate an entire week to spotlighting the people, the organizations, and the companies that keep our world moving.
As a highlight to the week and to assist families with career exploration, on May 19 & 20, we’ll host Ontario’s largest virtual skilled trades expo for all students in grades 9-12.
Why should you attend?
Engaging • Interactive • Fun
Packed with Resources & Prizes
In partnership with WFS Ltd. and Milwaukee Tool, the #HerPower Tools program is designed to encourage young women to pursue a youth apprenticeship or post-secondary skilled trades program or apprenticeship. Students can apply for the chance to win one of 100 tool bags filled with job essentials (a $150 value!).
The skilled trades are divided into 4 sectors so we spoke with women in each sector to give you a look into their unique journeys.
What steps happen along your learning path and what happens after an apprenticeship ends? There’s not a single answer to this as your trades journey can go in many directions and your eventual journeyperson status can lead to an endless list of possibilities! To celebrate #TradesWeek, we spoke to tradespeople about where they started and where their certification has taken them:
We can introduce you to a new audience! We’d love to answer any questions that you might have and schedule a time to discuss why educators, organizations, and companies partner with us.
